This pillow cover has an identical patchwork of the paintings found in Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul. These paintings depict scenes of harems and hammams found in Ottoman palaces. The very famous Turkish baths are called Hammams and the private confinements or residence of Cariyes (Sultan's Lady) are called Harems.
