Water bottles are among common pieces of Iznik pottery with early examples dating back to the early 16th century. The original of this bottle dates back to around 1530-1535. It is currently in display at the British Museum in London, England. It is one of the finest examples of the "Tugrakes" style containing the typical spiral scrolls that have become one of the classical patterns of 'çini' making in Anatolia following early 16th century.
